Anita Okoye, currently residing in Kaduna State, Nigeria, concluded her National Youth Service in 2022 and began searching for a job that suited her skills.
Despite her efforts, Anita couldn’t find a suitable job, prompting her to upskill. She decided to pursue Data Analysis/Science and began looking for online courses and training programs. However, she didn’t gain a deep understanding of data analysis until she started her journey with ArewaLadies4Tech. Anita learned about the program through a friend who shared the link with her. Initially worried that her late registration might disqualify her, she was thrilled to be selected for the cohort.
Her learning experience with ArewaLadies4Tech was exceptional, as she understood data analysis from the ground up and gained a deeper comprehension of the field. The program featured amazing facilitators who guided the participants through each learning module. Anita excelled, becoming one of the top 50 participants, and her dashboards were featured on several occasions.

After three months of training under the ArewaLadies4Tech program, Anita participated in mentorship sessions and was among the participants offered a paid internship to further enhance her skills and learn from industry experts. Her internship at Omeva Consulting was an amazing experience where she worked professionally as a data analyst alongside her colleagues. During this time, she developed valuable skills such as leadership, research, effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Anita feels very excited and thankful for the journey and experience so far. Following her internship, she secured a full-time role in the real estate industry, where she utilizes her data analysis skills to analyze
