Skills Learnt
Graphic design, Animation, and Content creation
These new skills not only enhanced her professional capabilities but also reignited her passion for education.
Upon completing the programme, Justina transitioned into a new role as a school administrator for the upcoming school year. She has since worked on various projects, including creating educational materials, logo designs, social media banners, and birthday cards. These projects have allowed her to apply her new skills, making her work more dynamic and impactful.
One of Justina’s proudest achievements is her ability to do more at work with the skills she has gained. She feels more confident and capable, which has significantly boosted her professional growth.
Looking ahead, Justina plans to transition into educational technology and aspires to become a professional graphic designer and illustrator. She intends to use her skills not only for educational purposes but also as an additional stream of income and for community development.
Reflecting on her journey, Justina finds the Engage Nigeria program to be enlightening, with great support from professionals. She suggests creating opportunities for internships after the training sessions to provide practical experience. Her encouragement to others considering the program is that it has a “Yes you can” approach. No prior knowledge is needed to succeed; just be ready to learn, collaborate with others, and with good support from professionals, you will find your light.
